Appearance

Personality

He placed great faith in his men, boasting to the Arlong Pirates of the 77th Branch's reputation for valor, a confidence that tipped over into a fatal underestimation of his enemy. His brand of justice carried a measure of principle: he wished both to evacuate those who had suffered under Arlong and to crush the crew outright for their crimes. Where the corrupt Nezumi would deal with Arlong, Pudding Pudding refused even to consider a bargain.

History

He treated his subordinates warmly, chatting easily with them and rallying them before combat, and they returned the regard, bristling when Chew struck their commodore down. Convinced that pirates had no right to plant a base anywhere, he could not let any he met go unchallenged, yet he still offered them the courtesy of an introduction and a chance to surrender. Dispatched to Arlong Park to evacuate survivors and arrest the crew, he let pride steer him the moment he saw the fish-men's stronghold and ordered an attack. Arlong, willing at first to buy him off with two million Belly, turned hostile the instant a cannonball flew his way and loosed his fish-men on the ship. When Chew climbed aboard, Pudding Pudding began to introduce himself and was shot mid-sentence; he and his entire crew were sent to the bottom of the ocean.
