Skaldi

Skaldi is a small boy whose light blue hair frames a pair of horns, the mark of his ancient giant heritage. Dark goggles rest atop his head, and he dresses in a tunic layered over furred garments, boots and a cape among them.

In keeping with the Walrus School's gentle teaching, Skaldi shrinks from violence and fighting and grows fearful around anything dangerous. His deepest dread is Nika, a figure he is convinced will one day bring about the ruin of the entire world.

While the Straw Hats toured the Walrus School, Skaldi splashed in the water with Bjorn and another pupil, then climbed onto a swing with Luffy, Usopp, and Aegir, only for the pirates to push it terrifyingly high until Nami stepped in and Gerd soothed the frightened boys. In Ange's class he was asked to draw his greatest fear and sketched Nika, certain of the destruction it would cause. When the Knights of God set out to press Elbaph's adult giants into war, Skaldi and many classmates were lulled asleep and marched away as part of the plot, and he was hurt on St. Sommers' thorns when Saul's shield shoved him into Ylva.

Driven onward by a controlling arrow even after Imu's Conqueror's Haki knocked them out, the children were herded toward the coast to be shipped to Mary Geoise. Their guardians rushed to the rescue, and when a capsizing ship tore a hole down to the Underworld, Skaldi's mother chose to plunge with him rather than let him fall alone, the pair saved by landing on Loki's back. In the Western Village, Skaldi and the other children bravely placed themselves between Sommers and their guardians until Zoro, Luffy, and Loki struck the tormentor down and the thorns binding them dropped away. Imu's later arrival on Elbaph loosed another wave of Supreme King Haki that left the children senseless once more.
