History

Vigaro held deep faith that Puzzle was destined to become the next Pirate King, and that conviction shaped his final act. When the Phoenix Pirates sailed into the New World and came under attack, he threw himself at the enemy to buy his comrades time to flee. The escape succeeded, but the charge cost him his life. His death rippled through the crew: most of the Phoenix Pirates resolved to fight harder for Puzzle in his memory, and his fellow crewmate Guyle argued that Vigaro would have wanted them to take the Thousand Sunny against the Accino Family. Puzzle, by contrast, was so shaken by the loss that he lost the will to fight, fearing he might lose more friends the same way.
