History

Long before the central events of the war, Wallem built a fearsome name across the New World and bound himself to the Whitebeard Pirates. When the Marines prepared to execute Ace at Marineford, he and his crew threw their weight behind Whitebeard's cause. He and Brew caught the enemy rushing the timetable and reacted with alarm. Later he cheered Luffy's rescue, then watched in disbelief as Akainu cut Ace down and Crocodile unexpectedly shielded Jinbe and Luffy as they fled. With the Red Hair Pirates finally on the scene, Sengoku let the surviving pirates withdraw, Wallem among them.
