Yuya

A young boy with big round eyes, Yuya wears his brown hair short. His shirt is black, crossed by a wide gray band that circles the collar and sleeve cuffs, and he pairs it with blue shorts. When first shown, he is holding a baby in his arms.

For Yuya, the bond of family runs deep. He and his fellow orphans hold their guardian, the woman known to them as Mama, very dear.

Whenever danger looms, Yuya lines up with the other children to shield Mama from any pirates threatening her. Once Michael and Hoichael put a stop to Aunt's attack on Zoro, the orphans creep out from where they had been hiding and greet the swordsman as a new big brother, guiding him back to their house so he can pitch in with chores. Disaster strikes during a shopping trip when loansharks seize the entire household and haul them onto a rooftop, where Mikazuki menaces them, though Hoichael races off and returns with Zoro to free everyone. Home again, the family bids the swordsman farewell, but because Zoro carries off a shirt that had been laundered after a baby soiled it, the children give chase through the streets. Reading the pursuit as a plea not to go, Zoro just keeps fleeing while they keep running after him.
