The Emergence of the Superb Kicking Skill: Sanji vs. the Iron Wall Pearl

Krieg formally begins his raid on the floating restaurant, and the cooks find themselves outmatched by one of his officers, the armored Pearl. Sanji steps in and brings Pearl down using nothing but his legs, yet the triumph is cut short. Just as the chefs seem to gain the upper hand, Gin catches Zeff by surprise and levels a firearm at him, leaving the cook crew in a sudden and dangerous standoff as the episode ends.

Krieg tells his crew that the Baratie's ordinary look makes it ideal for deception and that Zeff's logbook holds routes through the Grand Line and clues to One Piece. To spare the dining room, Sanji raises the restaurant's two fin platforms as a battlefield. Patty and Carne charge in the fish-shaped Sabagashira I, but Krieg's armor deflects its guns and he flings the boat back. The cooks fall one by one until Pearl, a man sheathed in metal shields, halts Patty and Carne and boasts of a record without ever bleeding.

Krieg shatters the mast Luffy clings to, dropping him onto Pearl, who cracks his head on a shield and bleeds. Enraged at his ruined record, Pearl ignites himself and the blaze spreads across the fin. Sanji presses through the flames, lands repeated strikes with his Black Leg style, and a falling mast crushes Pearl into unconsciousness. The episode introduces both Pearl and Ideaman, and notes that Pearl's jungle upbringing, mentioned in the manga, carries over. It belongs to the Baratie storyline.
