The Cold-headed Demon: Pirate Fleet Battle Commander Gin

With the Baratie's fin wrecked by Luffy, Krieg orders Gin to finish off Sanji. Gin balks, remembering that this was the very cook who fed his starving crew. When Pearl tries to take the kill himself, Gin turns on him instead, shattering his front shield and dropping him. Choosing to repay Sanji's kindness with an honest fight, Gin squares off against the cook while Krieg sets his sights on Luffy.

Nicknamed the Man-Demon for his savagery, Gin fights with two weighted tonfa using his Man-Demon Tactics. Sanji lands an early blow that puts him on the ground, but Gin springs back up and beats the cook down, leaving him badly hurt. With Sanji pinned and helpless, however, guilt overtakes Gin and he cannot deliver the final strike. He pleads with Krieg to call off the assault as thanks for the meal, only for Krieg to condemn his insubordination and refuse.

From the Baratie Arc. Krieg unleashes MH5, a lethal poison gas bomb. His own men strap on gas masks, the chefs dive underwater, and Zeff retreats inside the restaurant. Luffy snatches two masks off Krieg's pirates and passes them to Sanji and Gin, but the bomb is launched before he can find one for himself. Gin debuts his Man-Demon Tactics and Kijin Ranbu here.
