After Zoro seemingly cuts Buggy down, the clown unveils his Bara Bara no Mi, the swordsman turns the crew's own cannon back on them, and the trio slips away across the rooftops as a furious Buggy declares all-out war.
Sure he has triumphed after slicing Buggy apart, Zoro turns toward Luffy's cage, but the clown's crew bursts into laughter. A severed hand gripping a knife floats over and stabs the swordsman in the side, and Buggy crows about the Bara Bara no Mi, the fruit that lets him scatter his body into separate parts. The strike misses anything vital, yet now the wounded Zoro, who came to free his captain, is the one in need of help.
Branding the clown a big-nosed coward for the underhanded blow, Luffy draws Buggy's fury. When the floating hand lunges to kill him, Luffy snaps the blade between his teeth. Catching on to the captain's idea, Zoro sprints for the cannon still trained their way, wheels it toward the Buggy Pirates, and Nami sets the fuse alight. The shot rips apart the rooftop and scatters the crew. Hoisting the whole cage onto his back, Zoro bolts before Buggy can reassemble, brushing off Nami's complaints about the missing key.
Buggy wounds Zoro, and his Bara Bara no Mi is shown to split his body apart and shrug off slashing strikes. A Buggy Ball fired by Zoro and Nami plows into the pirates, granting the three a head start. Regarding their navigator, Luffy announces to Zoro his wish for Nami to fill the role, an idea she waves off even as she trails behind them. By the chapter's close all three have reached the rooftops in safety, and an enraged Buggy declares war on them.
The cover, drawn from the Animal Theater series, shows Luffy racing a cheetah. At this point Nami is still presented as a thief out of Cocoyasi Village rather than a true crewmate, and she denies Luffy's claim about her place on the crew while sticking with the group anyway. The chapter sits within the Orange Town Arc.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
In Chapter 11, Buggy reveals his Bara Bara no Mi to survive Zoro's attack and wounds him, then Luffy, Zoro, and Nami turn Buggy's own cannon on his crew and escape across the rooftops as Buggy declares war on them.
The Bara Bara no Mi is Buggy's Devil Fruit, revealed in this chapter, which lets him split his body into separate floating parts and shrug off slashing attacks like Zoro's sword strikes.
They turn the pirates' own cannon back on the Buggy Pirates, with Nami lighting the fuse, then flee across the rooftops while Buggy's scattered crew is thrown into chaos.
No, in this chapter Nami is still portrayed as a thief from Cocoyasi Village and denies Luffy's claim that she will become his crew's navigator, even though she keeps following the group.
Chapter 11 belongs to the Orange Town Arc, the story's early confrontation between the Straw Hats and Buggy the Clown.
