Summary

Riding a river-shaped channel of clouds, the Straw Hats are propelled into the sky island of Godland Skypiea, gazing in wonder at its buildings and cloud-formed sea. Reaching the shore, Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper leap off and dash about exploring. Zoro questions dropping anchor over a bottomless sea but does it anyway at Luffy's indifference, while Nami is harassed by the South Bird they forgot to release before it flies off. Robin admits she never imagined a landing this eventful, and Nami recognizes the island's name from the map Luffy found.

Sanji studies the local flowers, Luffy fails to bite into a rock-hard pumpkin-like fruit, and Zoro wonders whether the wet ground is truly cloud. Music begins, a small fox appears, and Sanji spots a winged, harp-carrying figure he excitedly calls an angel.

Key Events

The beautiful woman approaches, asking if they come from the Blue Sea, and Luffy explains they flew up from below. She names the area Angel Beach of Skypiea and slices open the tough fruit, called Conache, which Luffy drinks from and finds delicious. Introducing herself as Conis, she offers to help with any trouble, while a caption identifies her fox as Su. Nami says she has countless questions about the unbelievable place.

A man then crash-lands while riding a waver, a wind-powered boat described in Noland's diary. He is Conis's father, Pagaya, who has just been fishing in the White-White Sea and shows off his catch of Sky Lobsters. He invites the crew home, and when Nami asks how the waver sails without wind, Conis points to dials as the answer.
