Pirate Chopper vs. Priest Gedatsu

Gedatsu gropes around for Chopper while his eyes keep rolling back, leaving him blind to the reindeer planted directly in front of him until a soldier of God's Army shouts the truth at him. Piecing together that the figure is a priest, Chopper listens as Gedatsu boasts of his Ordeal of Swamp, hidden cloud pits he claims leave a fifty percent survival rate, only to point out that Gedatsu is the one actually sinking. The priest escapes by flying upward on heel dials and looses a swamp cloud, which instead swallows his own soldier's head and chokes the man unconscious.

Shifting to Heavy Point, Chopper revives the soldier with chest-pounding CPR, and the grateful man briefly takes his side, only for Gedatsu to slay him with a jet-dial punch that draws extra speed and force from his elbows. Horrified, Chopper swallows a Rumble Ball and runs through his forms, using Jumping Point, Guard Point, and Brain Point to slip past the priest's swamp clouds and boosted strikes. A crushing blow flings him through several buildings, but he absorbs the worst of it in Guard Point and, in doing so, learns where the priest is vulnerable: the soles of his feet.

Beaten down yet refusing to flee any longer, Chopper decides that his career as a true pirate starts right here. He has already pulled one shoe from Gedatsu, which sends the priest wobbling erratically through the air and rattles his Mantra as his emotions slip. Bulking into Arm Point, Chopper slams a powerful strike into Gedatsu's gut, stamping an X-shaped dent and knocking him out as Chopper himself crumples. The chapter confirms that Mantra can be thrown off by emotion and that Gedatsu drops headfirst into his own swamp, unable to climb free.
