Chapter 383

Facing the courthouse, Luffy demands Blueno step aside and asks whether Robin is held behind him. The doorman declines to brawl and instead delivers a warning: by breaking into Enies Lobby the crew has set itself against more than a hundred and seventy nations, and the government will chase every member to a savage end. Luffy brushes the threat off, caring only about carrying Robin home.

During that standoff, Paulie and the boarding party keep tearing through the gate's guards. Chopper relates to the others where Sodom and Gomorrah came from, a tale told as the assault rolls forward atop the two beasts.

After framing the invasion as a crime against the whole world, Blueno meets Luffy's charge anyway. A Gomu Gomu no Rifle drives clean through his Tekkai, evidence of how much stronger the captain has grown since their bout at the mansion. A redirected Gomu Gomu no Gatling then cracks Blueno across the jaw and hurls him into a pillar.

Chopper explains the bulls' history: the Franky Family fished the pair out of a Sea King's belly and spared them only because their stomachs were already full, which won lasting devotion. The crew also realizes Sogeking never climbed onto Sodom in the first place. Soon after, a sniper's mortar pierces Sodom's heart, and Zambai orders everyone to spring across to Gomorrah as the dying bull tells them to go.

The color spread sends the crew soaring above a ravine aboard four enormous eagles colored green, black, red, and blue, with Zoro daringly balanced on the rope strung between two of them. This installment formally begins the captain's rooftop fight and shows that he can now smash straight through Blueno's iron-body guard. Its pages were divided across anime Episodes 269 and 270.
