Chapter 46

Zeff once more orders Sanji to quit the floating restaurant, sparking a scuffle in which the young cook swears he will not leave until the old man is dead. Zeff fires back that he plans to live another century. Returning to wait the Straw Hats' table, Sanji lavishes attention on Nami while ignoring the men, which grates on Usopp. Nami, quick to spot the angle, sweetly milks Sanji for free dishes, prompting Zoro to call her sly.

Two days after Gin sailed off, Don Krieg's galleon looms into view. Cooks and diners panic at the pirate's fearsome name, yet the vessel is plainly battered and broken. Krieg himself stumbles inside, gaunt and barely upright, leaning on Gin and pleading for something to eat and drink. Patty wants to summon the Marines and cash in on the weakened captain, but Sanji, as he did for Gin, brings out a plate despite Carne warning him of the man's history of betrayal.

The moment Krieg has recovered some strength, he repays the kindness with a blow to Sanji and announces, to a horrified Gin, that he intends to seize the restaurant ship for himself. The chapter establishes the Krieg Pirates' arrival at the Baratie and reveals their flag: a skull flanked by two hourglasses. The cover continues Buggy's adventure serial, pitting Buggy against Gaimon, detachable hands versus a loaded pistol.
