Summary

Terrified diners abandon the Baratie as Don Krieg announces he intends to take the floating restaurant for himself, claiming his own vessel has worn out. He orders the cooks to prepare meals for his weakened crew, but the staff flatly refuse. Sanji breaks from them, insisting that feeding the hungry is simply what a cook is bound to do. The other chefs aim their weapons at him, and Patty wrestles him aside before firing his meatball cannon point blank. The smoke clears to reveal Krieg unharmed beneath a hidden suit of armor, who then drives the cooks back with the gun barrels built into it.

Key Events

Krieg boasts of his strength and demands obedience, but Zeff cuts in by hauling out a sack holding enough provisions for a hundred mouths. The head cook then drops the real shock: Krieg and his survivors are the battered remnants of a fleet that ventured into the Grand Line and barely crawled back. Gin pleads with his captain to honor an earlier promise of restraint. In turn, Krieg suddenly grasps who is standing before him, recognizing the old cook as the feared pirate Red Leg Zeff, a name he believed belonged to a dead man.

Notes

The cover continues the Buggy's Crew Adventure Chronicles, where Buggy and Gaimon bond over their odd bodies and celebrate through the night with the island's animals. The chapter establishes that Krieg's armada lost all but a hundred members on the Grand Line, and it first attaches the epithet Red Leg to Zeff. Cast includes Luffy, Krieg, Gin, Zeff, Sanji, Patty, and Carne, with Buggy and Gaimon appearing on the cover.
