10:00 Opening of the Banquet

In the island's eastern bay, a bound Pekoms asks what the Sun Pirates intend. Aladine answers that they are deserting, acting on Jinbe's order to clear Big Mom's territory before the tea party begins. The decision was driven by Jinbe's resolve to throw in with Luffy and openly break from the Emperor, despite the brutal penalty her roulette imposes on anyone who quits. Rather than drag his crew into that punishment, Jinbe sends them away during the chaos and stays behind to die for his new captain if need be. Aladine and the crew set sail, leaving Pekoms stranded.

Minutes before ten, the final Underworld guests are ushered up to the rooftop by Perospero on a candy escalator. At the gate, the organ dealer Jigra refuses a body search and is instantly shot dead by Katakuri, whose foresight revealed Jigra's plan to murder the host. At ten o'clock, Big Mom enters and the banquet begins.

The Sun Pirates abandon ship as Jinbe instructed, leaving Pekoms tied up. It is explained that the numbers on Big Mom's punishment roulette dictate how many crewmates die alongside anyone who tries to leave. A string of Underworld notables is introduced, including Lu Feld, Stussy, Drug Peclo, Morgans, Giberson, and Umit. Sweet Commander Katakuri debuts as the second son of the Charlotte Family, carrying a bounty of over one billion Berries and an Observation Haki sharp enough to glimpse the near future.

This chapter is part of the Whole Cake Island Arc. The cover features Crocodile sheltering a shivering puppy under an umbrella in the rain. Inside the Chateau, the Vinsmokes head for the rooftop venue while Reiju deflects questions about her whereabouts the night before. Smoothie serves the arriving guests bizarre drinks squeezed from a lava chunk, a murderous woman, and a comical giraffe, before Big Mom welcomes everyone and declares the whole room edible.
