Masaru Ikeda

Masaru Ikeda was a Japanese actor and voice actor active from 1963 to 2026. He is best known for voicing the Yatter Machines in the tokusatsu series Yatterman and for serving as the regular Japanese dub voice of Hollywood actor Danny Glover. He also took part in the One Piece anime's Japanese voice cast.

Ikeda's specific character in One Piece is not part of the documented public record. He is counted among the many veteran Japanese actors who contributed guest voice work to the anime, which is produced by Toei Animation.

Beyond his One Piece guest work, Ikeda played Ikki Yoneda in the anime and game franchise Sakura Taisen. This was part of a career that also included tokusatsu and dubbing work across Japanese television.

Ikeda was educated at Tokyo Metro Fifth Commerce Senior High School. He later became a longtime member of the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, a trade organization for Japanese stage and screen performers.

Ikeda died in January 2026 at age 83. Born in Tokyo in 1942, he built a career spanning more than six decades in Japanese stage, anime, and dubbing work.
