Jin Tanaka is a Japanese screenwriter, born in 1976, who has headed writing teams on several major TV anime and has also contributed scripts to the One Piece anime, produced by Toei Animation.
Tanaka is one of the scriptwriters credited on the One Piece television anime, part of the team responsible for adapting Eiichiro Oda's manga chapters into weekly episode scripts. His work on the series sits alongside a career built largely on lead writing positions for other long-running anime.
Tanaka has served as head writer on a number of notable television anime. His lead-writing credits include the Pretty Cure entries Go! Princess and Kirakira Pretty Cure a la Mode, the slice-of-life favorite Laid-Back Camp, and Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.
