Bang

Age shows in the slight stoop of Bang's back, yet his lean frame stays hard and heavily muscled, mapped all over with scars from a lifetime of training. His hair is spiky and white, framed by thick brows and a bushy mustache, and his eyes are a pale blue set against tanned skin. He favors a black turtlenecked martial arts jumpsuit with light trousers and a pair of Tai Chi slippers.

On the surface Bang seems stern, though those close to him know a surprisingly playful streak. He stays calm to the point of remaining unbothered as a Dragon-level meteor bears down on Z-City, and he prefers his given name to the hero title Silver Fang. Deeply principled about what heroism ought to mean, he chides the other S-Class heroes as heartless for ignoring the city's plight and grows disgusted with how the Association has lost its way. Always on the hunt for worthy pupils to carry on his art, he sets his sights on Saitama and Genos. His heart aches most over Garou, his former top disciple. He dreads the young man's slide into monsterhood, spits contempt at what he has become, and finally resolves to reclaim and retrain him. In his youth Bang was arrogant and abrasive, much like Garou himself, hospitalizing strong fighters to prove his talent until a defeat at his brother Bomb's hands humbled him and turned him toward a defensive path.

As the former third-ranked S-Class hero, Bang counts among the mightiest fighters the Association has ever fielded, and even past his physical prime he ranks with Superalloy Darkshine as one of the twin pillars of the hero world. Decades of study let him forge his own discipline, the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, a defensive style built to redirect and turn back an enemy's force, which Genos praises as a flawless blend of offense and defense. His raw power belies his years. He shatters meteor fragments barehanded, wipes out the Demon-level Fist Fight Djinn in an instant, opens a crater with a single punch to Garou, and kicks clean through the Dragon-level Gums.

His speed matches his strength, letting him outrun a falling spaceship along with every S-Class hero fleeing beside him while stringing together rapid combinations in a blink. He is remarkably durable, walking off a Melzargard blow that tore the arm from another hero, and his stamina carries him through fight after fight during the Monster Association war. He can even sense the malignant presence festering inside Garou. Alongside his current art, he once wielded the Exploding Heart Release Fist, an aggressive style he abandoned after losing to Bomb and now refuses to use because it recalls the man he used to be. Teamed with his brother, he unleashes combined techniques such as the Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist and the Cross Fang Dragon Slayer Fist, joint strikes forceful enough to crack the armor of Elder Centipede.
