Bomb

Old but still powerfully built, Bomb makes a sharp visual contrast with his younger brother. Bang keeps a full head of hair and a trim mustache; Bomb, by comparison, wears a long white beard with matching white hair over a bald crown. His robes follow tradition in green and blue. He also edges out Bang in height and holds himself straight and firm, where Bang tends to hunch as he moves.

Bomb is a devoted elder brother to Bang. A little put out at having to send off all his students, he still trusts there was good reason for it. He frets often over the dangers of Bang's hero career and has floated the idea of retirement. Freely admitting his best years are gone and mourning his lost youth, he nonetheless invests his faith in the young, as when he held Genos back from rushing headlong into a hopeless fight. No registered hero himself, Bomb behaves like one all the same, aiding fellow heroes, guarding the defenseless, and battling monsters to keep the cities safe.

A supremely accomplished martial artist, Bomb mastered the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist and has shown skill on the level of S-Class heroes. Often at his brother's side, he has taken on fearsome foes, Dragon-level threats among them. Murata has said outright that he outstrips Bang in strength, and even holding back, Bomb bested a Bang who still relied on the Exploding Heart Release Fist style. He allows that six decades younger he might have shrugged off wounds the way Garou does, a hint at the stamina he once carried.

These days he owns that his prime is behind him, his endurance thinned, with techniques such as the Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist draining him heavily. Even so, sapped further by Fubuki to heal Tanktop Master, he still traded blows with a vastly grown, monsterized Garou for a spell before finally falling. His bare hands can tear Mysterious Beings apart, and joined with Bang he cracked the shell of Elder Centipede. His core art, the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist, works the air itself into a razor whirlwind that shears an opponent to ribbons.
