Great Philosopher is the Hero Association's A-Class Rank 13 professional, based in Y-City. Rated the top physical fighter in his tier, he tries to reason with monsters before dispatching them with a heavy book, and he wields tremendous strength in close quarters.
His whole design evokes an old-world Greek thinker. A sweep of white hair flows behind him and joins a full white beard, while dark wrappings cover both hands. He is usually seen lugging an oversized tome, and his athletic frame is marked by a large vein running down one bicep.
Matching the name he goes by, he comes across as grave and given to analysis. What sets him apart from most heroes is his instinct to comprehend the creatures he faces: he questions monsters about their feelings and motives before striking. Since none of them ever offer a genuine reply, every such exchange ends the same way, with him finishing the beast off using his book.
As an A-Class hero he is formidable. Child Emperor's measuring device, Okame-chan, which gauges physical power, clocked him at 2442, a figure surpassing both a massive bear and the A-Class hero Stinger. A fellow hero calls him the strongest physical combatant in A-Class, though he still cannot match a Demon-level opponent.
His raw might lets him land blows estimated at three tons of force, and he once slew a Tiger-level monster with a single shoulder charge. He can also absorb a prolonged mauling from a pack of Tiger-level foes and survive, if badly hurt. In battle he leans on close-range fighting and treats his large book as a bludgeon. His named techniques include 3 Tons Philosophy, a forceful downward swing of the tome, the Shield of Wisdom, which raises the book to guard against attacks, and the Philosophy Shoulder Tackle of Truth, a charging body-check. His weapon of choice is the volume he calls Philosophy: Complete Set.
He surfaces across several later events. When Tatsumaki fights Apollo beneath the A-City headquarters, an alarm sends him down to investigate. Elsewhere he defeats a lone Sewage Crocodile, only for a swarm of the creatures to ambush and overwhelm him; the Neo Soda Pop Boys arrive and clear them out with their battle suits, and the gravely wounded hero admits those amateur newcomers now outclass him in strength, speed, and toughness thanks to their gear. He also joins McCoy's crowd of heroes at the police station too late to be useful, and once tries with others to stop Jumping Spider, only to be swept aside after misjudging the monster.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
