Gums

Gums is a bloated, perpetually hungry thing that stands on two legs and has a pair of arms. Apart from one gigantic, lipless mouth its head carries no features at all, and although it lacks ears, its attendance at cadre meetings hints that Gyoro Gyoro contacts it by some unexplained means. The webcomic version has a more human build. To bite harder, it thickens the muscles around its jaws until it turns corded and vein-lined. Its size never holds steady, ranging from barely above the height of the average-built Homeless Emperor to wide enough to swallow the towering hero Pig God whole.

Gums cannot seem to talk, yet answering a summons to a meeting shows it grasps language perfectly well. What rules it is a bottomless appetite and a compulsion to devour. Anything that interrupts or delays a meal throws it into savage rage, as when Pig God hauled Tanktop Master out of its jaws, or when Bang deflected Fuhrer Ugly's punch into its face and forced it to spit up Genos. Consumed by that fury, it even rounded on Fuhrer Ugly, its own ally, and tried to digest him.

As a senior, Dragon-level figure within the Monster Association, Gums wields tremendous power, and its skill set mirrors Pig God's almost exactly, built around raw muscle and the swallowing and digesting of foes. Thanks to its Inhuman Digestive System it can grind up nearly anything at once, munching debris even while feeding, which led Pig God to concede his own gut fell short; its stomach acid dissolved Fuhrer Ugly and chewed through materials as sturdy as the katana of Atomic Samurai and even Darkshine's famously tough hide.

Its Immense Strength let it bite clean through metal and rubble and gulp down Pig God, a hero famed for eating monsters, and to seize the edge in their fight. Drive Knight's readings peg its bite as fierce enough to shatter heavy machinery, yet it failed to punch fully through Pig God's layered fat, and it took genuine straining to finally chew through Tatsumaki's psychic barrier, the one she had raised around him. Those jaws bit so hard that even the powerful Tanktop Master could barely wrench himself loose. Gums also possessed Immense Durability, emerging unmarked from grappling with Pig God, along with Enhanced Stealth to blindside that S-Class hero and Underground Mobility for bursting up from below. Its Elasticity let it gape its maw to monstrous widths to bolt down huge loads, while its Regenerative Healing Factor closed the gap Bang kicked and the burns from Genos' Incineration Cannon, though nothing could restore it once Fuhrer Ugly split it in two.

Before the heroes strike, Gums eats several monsters and is called by Gyoro Gyoro to an executive gathering. During the heroes' incursion into the Monster Association base it creeps up on Pig God and downs him whole, only for the hero to claw his way back out into a brawl; Tatsumaki briefly springs him with a barrier that Gums simply chews through to keep him trapped, and the two part only when she wrenches the entire base out of the earth. Later it rises from the rubble alongside other executives and hunts Pig God and Tanktop Master, fixating on the latter, getting bodychecked off him by Pig God, and at last gulping him down whole after Fuhrer Ugly pummels him. Bang then boots a hole clean through Gums to free Tanktop Master while Genos scorches its guts; Gums heals and clamps onto the cyborg, but Bang redirects Fuhrer Ugly's strike into it, freeing Genos. Furious, Gums swallows Fuhrer Ugly, who rips out through its belly and finishes it, after which Pig God is shown eating the remains. The original webcomic instead has Bang kill it.
