History

Heavy Kong first surfaces as the hero assigned to W-City, reporting no trouble when the Association's leadership reviews the state of the cities. His luck turns during the monster raids, when he battles the Tiger-level Marshall Gorilla in W-City for a quarter of an hour before the beast's blades cut him down. When the S-Class heroes engage the Monster Association, he joins the crowd of heroes pouring out of the Hero Association Hospital toward the Z-City ghost town, where he helps clear rubble and evacuate the wounded. He is later among the many surrounding the defeated Garou, a standoff interrupted by King's arrival.

In the Neo Heroes era he is present at the A-City headquarters when Tatsumaki fights Apollo in the underground levels, hurrying down after the alarm to help investigate. By the time Internet Surfers appear in E-City he has climbed to rank 33, and he, Bone, and Peach Terry are first on the scene, only to be beaten back until Flashy Flash, Saitama, and Genos arrive to destroy the monsters. Side stories add further scrapes: he is knocked out by one of Grizzly Nyah's children in Lost Cat and shows up too late to a Z-City monster in Pork Cutlet Bowl, where Saitama had already finished the job.

As an A-Class hero trusted with an entire city, Heavy Kong is a skilled fighter who favors unarmed combat. Facing the armed Marshall Gorilla for fifteen minutes and walking away with just a single wound to the arm speaks to his skill, and he has been shown applying an arm-bar, hinting at martial arts training. His metal forearm bracelets are sturdy enough to shrug off a Tiger-level monster's blade with only a nick.
