History

In the OVA titled The Ninja Who is Too Complicated, a large snake sets upon the piglet before Sonic, training nearby, cuts the reptile down and treats it as a handy practice target. He names the little boar Ino, a shortening of inoshishi, the Japanese word for boar, and brings it along as he works to conquer his fear of Saitama. Once his training ends, Sonic hands Ino off to Frank. At the campsite the piglet grows lonely without Sonic and senses something drawing near, which proves to be the bear that once scarred Frank. Frank is knocked out in the encounter, and Saitama turns up; he briefly considers making a meal of Ino, but the piglet flees, recognizing him from Sonic's training. Ino later returns to Frank as the sun rises over the wreckage Saitama leaves after killing the bear. Beyond ordinary animal instincts, Ino holds no special powers.
