Jinzuren

The feature that catches the eye first on Jinzuren is a pair of silver, round-framed glasses. He is a young man who grooms himself with a certain gentlemanly polish, splitting his hazel hair down the centre with soft outward flicks over an undercut, the shade a close match to his eyes. His work attire is conventional: a plain black business suit finished with a green tie.

Level-headed and unflappable, Jinzuren has a real knack for spotting ability in people. Genos was brought into the Association on his recommendation, and Atomic Samurai owes his recruitment to the same eye for talent. His humility runs deep enough that he became the very first staffer to concede Saitama possessed true strength.

Jinzuren first appears next to his colleague Busho inside the wrecked House of Evolution base, remarking on the damage its destroyer left behind. As the Association gears up for its hero exam, he joins the planning talks and afterward questions Genos over whether the cyborg was the one who flattened that lab. With the exam scored, he relays how Genos and Saitama performed to Sneck, adding that Saitama might someday rise past him.

The sea monster emergency strikes him as a golden opening to measure Saitama's real capability, and when aliens ravage A-City he pegs the threat at Dragon while Busho refuses a final verdict on the chance it climbs to God. Later he sits in on Sweet Mask's Supreme Hero Production Project, and when Sweet Mask's secret surfaces following the Narinki Park clash against Pesky Clown, he points out that onlookers credit the hero with saving them. He is on hand as well when Mirror storms the headquarters and Saitama steps up.

In the Big Promotion extra, the assessor Cautous commends him for landing Genos and Atomic Samurai, and he teases that yet another of his finds has still to prove its worth, a quiet reference to Saitama. Powers are not his department; he is no different from any regular civilian, yet he counts among the rare handful who truly grasp how godlike Saitama is, once likening it to a god dwelling inside the man.
