Lecture Man

Lecture Man turns up in a tuxedo and a red bowtie, his black hair topped by a headset whose little microphone juts out to one side. A question mark is inked onto his cheek, and red slippers round out the look. The mark is meant to signal that anyone puzzled or unsure can come to him for answers.

True to his name, he casts himself as the go-to source for anything hero-related, greeting the Custom Hero with an offer to field whatever questions come up. By his own account his one genuine skill is delivering lectures. He is never shown throwing a punch, and the game presents him as a feeble fighter with no combat gifts to speak of.

He serves as a C-Class member of the Hero Association whose role is to walk the player through the fundamentals, covering how the Association operates, how ranks are climbed, and how the game itself functions. He nudges the Custom Hero to take on quests and push toward B-Class. Once the tutorial wraps, his appearances thin out to the occasional remark on the player's progress, and around the midpoint of the story he vanishes for good. He counts as the second non-canon character in the series after the Custom Hero.
