Raiden

Raiden stands enormously tall and heavily muscled, with black hair and dark eyes. He carries himself in full sumo tradition, wrapped in a white mawashi belt and wearing his hair in the topknot style of a professional rikishi.

Raiden flatly refuses to sign with the modern Hero Association, choosing instead to fight under the Neo Heroes banner. Proud of his legend, he talks up his reputation and even invites Superalloy Darkshine to grapple, hungry like his rival for the rush of facing strong opponents. Yet he shows a decent and caring streak too: sensing that Darkshine was off his game, he broke off the match rather than bully him, and later urged him to fall back when Mars Leo went on a tear.

He holds that strength earned through brutal training outclasses any lab-made augmentation, viewing such enhancements as a cap on a person's true potential. He can be harsh with criminals, preferring to turn them into mind-controlled cyborgs over gentler paths, though his duel with Puri-Puri Prisoner softens that view and leaves him convinced of the man's heroism. Above all, Raiden trusts his own principles enough to defy his leader's commands when he judges them unjust.

Across his professional Super Sumo career, Raiden strung together 700 straight wins to claim the yokozuna title and the label of strongest wrestler ever, a dominance foreshadowed in childhood, when he never lost a single contest even against grown men. His might drew repeated recruiting pitches from the Hero Association, all of which he waved off, revealing to one scout that he had already committed to the newly formed Neo Heroes. Raised to Neo Leader, he tests Darkshine's resolve with a brief grapple, then worries the veteran has slipped past his prime.

In the field, Raiden dispatches monsters with casual palm work, decapitating one and splitting another underfoot, and openly doubts he needs the Neo Heroes' battle suits. His combat leans on sumo, where punches are banned, so he favors heavy open-palm blows such as the Giant Heavy Cannon. When he trades strikes with Puri-Puri Prisoner, he bloodies and bruises the hero without taking a scratch, yet cannot put him down thanks to the S-Class hero's pain tolerance, so he pulls back out of respect. He eventually straps on a strength-boosting battle suit that lets him crater reinforced concrete and rattle skyscrapers with a footstep, though a re-motivated Darkshine still overpowers him with ease.
