Robots

A robot in this world is a machine-bodied being, run either through remote control or by an intelligence of its own. No single mold defines them: some wear a human silhouette while others look nothing like a person, and their weapons differ just as much. A few grip handheld arms, the twin katanas of G5 being one case, whereas others carry firepower built straight into the frame. Robotic construction tends to give them physical power beyond any ordinary human, frequently paired with extras like flight and energy projection.

Fighting is only one of the roles these machines fill. Alongside the combat models, many are assembled for entirely different work. Some handle construction, seen in the building units that Bofoi puts to use, while others serve as reconnaissance gear. Child Emperor, for one, sends a dedicated scouting unit ahead to pinpoint targets and survey the surroundings.

The people and factions who build them range from solo engineers like Bofoi and Child Emperor to bigger powers, chief among them the shadowy Organization credited with the Machine Gods line. Their owners cover much the same ground and then some, adding Dr. Kuseno and even the Monster Association to that list. Famous examples stretch from Bofoi's chess-piece Metal units and Child Emperor's Brave Giant to the Underdog Man models and combat machines such as G4 and G5.
