Ryumon looks every bit the veteran gangster. His dark hair is slicked back and shaved at the sides, set beneath thick brows and deep-sunken, heavily lined eyes, and his front teeth are missing. Three rows of stitching trail from his mouth along his jaw. He favors a fancy fur-trimmed jacket with black gloves and several neck chains. Stripped of his shirt, he reveals a powerfully built frame inked with dragon-scale tattoos running over his chest, arms, and legs, topped by a stylized dragon face across his chest. In the webcomic, torture at the hands of A triggers a monsterization that turns him into a serpentine creature whose scaled head mirrors that very tattoo.

Ryumon takes real interest in the Neo Heroes' betting setup, pleased that spectators can wager on the monsters too. He carries himself as a polished man eager to atone for his criminal past, yet his push to openly carry weapons leaves Accel suspecting an act. That change of heart proves genuine when the robot invasion hits and he behaves heroically, turning on Fuzzy and the Neo Heroes and calling them villains. He has no use for battle suits, dismissing them as borrowed strength that dulls the body, and would rather rely on his own power. Even when A threatens to torture and kill him, he stays fearless and unshaken.

McCoy once phoned Ryumon to thank him for helping shape plans against the Hero Association. Ahead of the Neo Heroes leadership meeting, Ryumon asked whether his hero status let him carry guns in the open, and at the gathering itself he insisted that he and his gang had gone straight, a claim Accel doubted. When the Tiger-level Triple Tongues struck, Ryumon and his crew jumped in and rescued Crescent Eyebroll; brushing off the hero as small fry and taunting the Hero Association, the gang laid into the monsters, boasting that the attacks meant nothing, only for Saitama to blur past and kill the creatures instantly by hurling their heads back, leaving Ryumon and the Neo Heroes stunned. As boss of a 400-member gang and a leading Neo Hero he is plainly powerful, and his fondness for weapons points to real skill with firearms, borne out when he tagged Triple Tongues' slender, whipping tongue. He endures pain remarkably well, and in the webcomic his monsterization leaves him strong enough to overpower a battle-suited A.
