Appearance

Three separate faces crown this monstrosity: a conventional centipede visage with a single pair of eyes, a draconic countenance nestled between them that carries two large eyes plus four smaller ones, and a lipless, skull-shaped human face bearing five eyes set on the dragon face's brow. Its bulk outstrips Elder Centipede by a wide margin, and every part of it looks nastier, with jagged plating jutting from the shell, swollen pincers, and feelers that run thicker and broader.

The creature puts its own appendage count at 6666, and each one is shaped like a warped human arm tipped with claws and armor. Its body runs so far that it can reach all the way up into space.

Personality

The beast frames itself as a being of one purpose, existing solely to wipe out what it calls the abominable fist that turned against God, a title later shown to mean Saitama. It looks down on humankind as puny and impudent, promising heaven-sent punishment on behalf of the planet it hails as its father and the seas it names its mother.

For all its grand talk of sacred vengeance, it fights dirty. During the clash with Garou and Metal Bat, it seizes a helicopter carrying Tareo and wounded heroes so it can use the passengers as leverage, a cowardly move it repeats more than once.

Abilities

Sage Centipede ranks among the largest creatures in the series, and its raw power matches its scale. It shoved aside the wreckage of the Monster Association base that Tatsumaki had reforged into a giant spear, sheared through that mass with its jaws, and reshaped the very ground through sheer motion. Blows from a monsterized Garou and repeated strikes from Metal Bat barely told on its hide, thanks to an exoskeleton tough enough to shrug off assaults that had once pained Elder Centipede. Despite its size it moves fast, whirling into a living drill and racing to snatch its own regeneration core out of the air after Garou flung it skyward.

Its deadliest trait is recovery. The monster mends wounds almost as fast as they land, and Garou judged that it could heal without end unless destroyed head to tail all at once. That healing hinges on a single internal core; strip the core away and the regeneration stops cold, which is exactly how the Hero Hunter finally undid it. In combat it leans on mass and reach, surrounding foes to batter them from every side with its twisted arms in a move it calls Centipede Grand March, and fusing its mandibles into a point to spin forward as the 6666 Leg Grand Drill.

The creature proved strong enough to overwhelm Metal Bat and press Garou hard, yet a growing resonance between the two heroes let their combined techniques crack its shell. Garou eventually punched clean through its body, severed the core, and split the giant in two down to the surface, ending it for good.
