Scaledon

Association records list the creature at 164 cm and 100 kg, but those figures date to its capture, when it still ranked as a Wolf-level threat. A change in diet triggered a runaway growth spurt, and its later body dwarfed those numbers by a wide margin.

By its final form, Scaledon carried a mix of traits borrowed from armored animals. Observers compared its build to an armadillo and a pangolin, with a heavy, plated frame reminiscent of dinosaurs such as the Nodosaurus.

Scaledon is a glutton at heart, driven mainly by the urge to feed. It also shows a streak of grim humor, at one point inviting Saitama to reunite with the heroes it had eaten by joining them inside its stomach.

Metal Knight first seized the beast for study, then passed it to Guiches, the former coordinator of the Z-City branch, who planned to sell its scales to a monster collector. Kept in comfort and overfed, the creature warped into something far more dangerous, smashed out of its enclosure, and vanished into the forest separating Cities Z and Y.

Because the sudden growth was not yet understood, a party of B-rank heroes, Saitama among them, received orders to bring it down without killing it. The others reached the monster ahead of Saitama and found it already tangled in Trap Tengu's snares, all of which it shredded without effort. It flattened every hero who charged it and gulped them down one after another.

Saitama arrived just as it finished off Wild Horn, the last of the group. Wanting to quit the team to their faces after being mocked and abandoned on the hunt, he ordered the monster to cough them up. Instead it ate him whole, dropping him in among his unconscious teammates. With a live capture no longer possible, Saitama punched a hole clean through its back, spilling out everything it had eaten and killing it on the spot. As a Demon-level opponent it overpowered the squad easily, ripping steel nets and toppling trees; its hide shrugged off Wild Horn's Pile Bison with only a scratch, and it wielded its long tail like a second arm.
