Sneck

Sneck is a fairly tall man with a grim, angular face, a sharp, watchful gaze, and spiky black hair. For fighting he dons a suit tailored from the hide of a monster he once slew, and under it sits a dark dress shirt set off by a white tie, with black shoes to match.

A pretentious streak runs through Sneck, who expects newcomers to defer to him and guards his ranking jealously. He treats the association's ladder as nearly sacred and picks fights with rookies who might outdo him, especially those who withhold respect, hinting at a self-serving reason for the cape. That same overconfidence pushes him to swing at Saitama even after the warnings. Yet he is neither coward nor fool: he steps in front of the Deep Sea King to shield civilians even while certain he will lose, and he owns up to being outclassed by the S-Class heroes, by that same Deep Sea King, and by Saitama. Conceding that Suiryu is stronger and needs no shielding, he still saves the younger fighter, revealing a nobler, selfless side.

Early in his career Sneck battles Fighting Bull-Frog, and at some point he slays a snake-type monster, fashioning his suit from its skin, a garment that turns aside claws, fangs, and beaks. Five times he enters the Super Fight tournament, earning fame by landing in the top four every time yet never seizing the title. His association duties first place him before Saitama and Genos while hosting the National Superhero Registry orientation; convinced the bald rookie will flunk out, he is floored when Saitama rewrites the physical records, and the duel he angrily demands ends with him crumpled in seconds. Later, as F-City's overseer, he reports on Hammerhead, then joins the heroes in a hopeless stand against the Deep Sea King, dodging one blow before a second launches him across the shelter; a promotion to Rank 37 follows. Returning for a sixth Super Fight, he pins Benpatsu with his immobilizing snake grip before losing to Suiryu in a lone strike. When Gouketsu and the Three Crows storm the closing ceremony and begin turning fighters into monsters, a single kick boots Sneck and Lightning Max out of the arena, though the pair recover, suit up, and race back to rescue Suiryu, with Sneck using his Coiling Defense to parry a strike and running one of the Three Crows clean through. Downed again by Gouketsu, the unconscious Sneck is spared from Bakuzan's killing blow by Saitama. He recuperates in the hospital, then hurries with Max to help at the Z-City raid beside Heavy Kong, and afterward, handed a monster murder case, learns from Isamu that the matter was long ago buried under corruption among the association's leadership.
