The One-Punch Man anime carries the manga to the screen over three seasons and a set of standalone OVAs. The opening season ran for twelve episodes across the autumn and winter of 2015, followed by an English broadcast the next year. A second season, again twelve episodes, arrived in the spring of 2019 with a near-simultaneous English release. The third season launched its first half with another twelve episodes late in 2025, and a second half is slated to follow in 2027.

Each season adapts a stretch of the source manga, progressing from Saitama's earliest encounters through the alien invasion, the rise of Garou, and the wider monster conflicts. Running alongside the main story is a collection of thirteen OVA shorts numbered from zero, most of them light comedic side pieces built around fishing trips, video-game rivalries, and a couple of mock murder mysteries. The English dubs for the OVAs were released in batches well after their Japanese airings.

The Japanese broadcast of the ninth episode of the second season was pushed back by a week, because TV Tokyo carried coverage of the 2019 French Open in its place. The English versions of each season generally trailed the original airings by several months.
