Tempted by a grand prize of five million yen, Saitama brings Genos along to a tournament for the fighting video game Wild Animals. Venues across the country host players who face off online, and Saitama intends to win using virtual reality controls. His actual skill, however, is sorely lacking, and he is quickly eliminated in the opening round by a koala-avatar opponent.
Garou has also joined the competition, tearing through his matches with real martial arts, and Suiryu dominates just as easily at a separate venue. The two eventually meet online in a fierce match, but Garou's attacks come so fast that the equipment glitches and freezes his avatar, handing Suiryu the win. In the final, Suiryu faces the same koala that had defeated Saitama earlier, and the koala crushes him within seconds. When the winning player steps forward to collect the prize, they are revealed to be King in disguise.
Saitama and Genos enter the Wild Animals tournament for its cash prize, and Saitama loses in the first round to a koala avatar. Garou and Suiryu advance easily until Garou's speed glitches the hardware, giving Suiryu the victory. In the final, the koala defeats Suiryu in seconds, and its player turns out to be King in disguise.
