The Sun Blade is a legendary sword forged ages ago on a now-sunken continent and handed down among a line of swordsmen. Nichirin passes it to Atomic Samurai during the Monster Association war, and legend pairs it with the Moon Blade for unrivaled power.
The Sun Blade is a storied weapon hammered out in the distant past on a landmass that has since vanished under the sea, and it has moved down the generations through the council of swordsmen. Its twin is the Moon Blade, and old lore promises that anyone who commands both at once will wield strength beyond compare, a legend the Council of Swordmasters has chased for ages. Nichirin keeps the sword tucked inside a pocket dimension within his pearl necklace and hands it to Atomic Samurai amid the fight against the Monster Association.
A spirit lives within the Sun Blade and reaches its wielder through telepathy, weighing whether that person deserves its might. Only when a swordsman reaches a peak of concentration can the weapon be pulled free of its sheath, as Atomic Samurai shows. Drawn, it sharply boosts his ability, letting him carve through one of Homeless Emperor's biggest energy spheres and lop off Golden Sperm's forearm, and the blade can even turn pliant and extend its reach. That power comes with hazards: it may seize hold of the wielder's mind, and leaning on it too hard brings on heavy exhaustion, which Atomic Samurai feels after trading blows with Golden Sperm.
Atomic Samurai is the sword's current bearer, having received it from its former keeper Nichirin. A note of wordplay surrounds it: the blade's name, written 日輪, is spoken the same as the swordmaster Nichirin's name, both carrying the meaning of the sun, with the manga separating them by writing one in kanji and the other in katakana.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
The Sun Blade is a legendary sword forged long ago on a continent that has since sunk beneath the sea, passed down through a lineage of swordsmen. Nichirin, its former keeper, hands it to Atomic Samurai during the war against the Monster Association.
The Sun Blade contains a spirit that telepathically judges whether its wielder is worthy, and it can only be drawn when a swordsman reaches peak concentration. Once drawn it sharply boosts the user's ability and can even turn pliant to extend its reach.
The Sun Blade is currently wielded by Atomic Samurai, who received it from its former keeper Nichirin. With it, Atomic Samurai has carved through one of Homeless Emperor's largest energy spheres and severed Golden Sperm's forearm.
The Sun Blade's counterpart is the Moon Blade, and old legend claims that anyone who wields both swords together will gain unmatched strength. The Council of Swordmasters has pursued that legend for ages.
Using the Sun Blade carries risks, since it can seize control of its wielder's mind and leaning on it too heavily brings on heavy exhaustion. Atomic Samurai feels this fatigue after trading blows with Golden Sperm.
