Genjutsu is the original, since-replaced version of chapter 201 in the One-Punch Man manga, belonging to the Ninjas Arc. It pits Sonic and Flashy Flash against the Ninja Village's leader, Empty Void, whose illusions and cube threaten to remake both fighters into monsters.
Released under the title Genjutsu, this first retconned form of chapter 201 squares Speed-o'-Sound Sonic and Flashy Flash off against Empty Void, the figure who commands the Ninja Village. The enemy proves to be far more than a straightforward opponent.
Empty Void puts his illusion-crafting powers on display against the two ninjas. He then works to convert both of them into Mysterious Beings, relying on one of the mysterious cubes to carry out the transformation. God appears within the chapter's roster as well.
The chapter carries the kanji title 幻術 (まぼろし), read Maboroshi, and debuted on February 8, 2024, with Saitama on the cover. VIZ rendered the title as Illusion Techniques. The updated release is Chapter 201 (Online), and the further reworked edition is Chapter 201 (Retconned Version 2).
