They still recognize her promise and expect her to grow considerably with more experience. Her initial letdown quickly gives way to eagerness, and she vows to become a formidable hero and impress Suiryu.

Suiryu, meanwhile, cannot grasp why Garou has been named his squad's capture target, given that Garou is no monster. The one handing out the assignment reminds him that Garou once roamed as the Hero Hunter, assaulting heroes; though he dodged prison as a minor, he still must be brought in. During a sparring bout, Saitama halts his fist just short of Genos's face and asks whether he gathered the data he wanted, and Genos confirms he did. Genos means to ask about Sweet Mask but holds back after spotting an unusual, troubled look on Saitama, trusting that Saitama will speak up in time. The pair head off for soba together, with Genos unaware that Saitama's grave expression only reflects his thoughts about the newly surfaced Hero Name Victims Association and how the balance of power stands to shift dramatically.

The Hero Name Victims Association recruits Saitama as an executive candidate. Suiko destroys a giant robot and is placed at A-Class, then resolves to grow stronger and surprise Suiryu. Suiryu's team is assigned to capture Garou for his past as the Hero Hunter. Saitama and Genos spar so Genos can collect data, then leave to eat soba.
