S-Class

Bang shows off his Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist for Saitama and Genos and invites them to try the style, but both turn him down. The refusal offends Charanko, who challenges the pair, and Genos flattens him in an instant before remarking on how few capable fighters the dojo seems to hold. Bang explains that his school was once packed with skilled students, all of whom were crippled by Garou, formerly his finest pupil, whom he expelled after a thrashing. Saitama voices genuine respect for Bang's ability, which prompts Charanko to sneer at him for not even knowing how renowned the master is.

Charanko's yammering is cut short when a Hero Association staffer arrives at the door to deliver an emergency summons for all S-Class heroes. Bang, Saitama, and Genos set out for the meeting while Charanko stays behind to mind the dojo. At headquarters they are met by Atomic Samurai, who refuses Saitama's offered handshake and says he will greet him properly once he earns S-Class rank. Tatsumaki abruptly begins berating and belittling Saitama, and Genos quietly informs him that she ranks second in S-Class and is an esper. As the assembled top heroes each share their view of the crisis, Saitama's sole request is a cup of tea.

Saitama and Genos decline Bang's teaching offer, and Genos defeats a challenging Charanko. Bang reveals that his former top disciple Garou disabled the entire dojo before being expelled. A Hero Association summons calls the S-Class heroes together, drawing Bang, Saitama, and Genos to headquarters. Atomic Samurai snubs Saitama's handshake, and Tatsumaki, ranked second in S-Class, openly mocks him during the meeting.

This thirtieth chapter opens the Alien Conquerors Arc and was collected in Volume 6. It released on October 3, 2013, and is adapted in Episode 10. A volume bonus page shows Puri-Puri Prisoner mistaking Saitama for Genos' sidekick after he asks for tea, a guess undone when Saitama drinks the cup himself. The chapter marks the first mention of Garou.
