Chapter 76

Puri-Puri Prisoner trades blows with the spiky monster Free Hugger and ends up covered in gashes, seemingly on the losing end because he fights with nothing but his bare hands. The crowd calls out for him to use the iron ball chained to his leg, but he cannot make out their shouts. Instead he settles on absorbing every ounce of pain through deep, overflowing love, then wraps the monster in a crushing embrace and defeats it. Bleeding badly moments later, he takes a call warning him that his cellmates have been abducted.

Saitama roams the area searching for monsters to fight and turns up none still standing. He finally comes across a wounded Water Gun, who tells him the strong monsters he clashed with had cleared out roughly thirty minutes earlier. Saitama dwells on having missed something so significant unfolding right nearby, which pushes him to wonder whether he really deserves to call himself a hero. He then catches himself, remembering that others' opinions never mattered to him and that his own satisfaction was always the point. He concludes that the whole Hero-Hunter affair had caught his curiosity and drawn him into the tournament, only for him to walk away having gained nothing from it.

Puri-Puri Prisoner defeats Free Hugger with a bare-handed embrace, then learns his cellmates have been kidnapped. Saitama finds no living monsters left and hears from Water Gun that the powerful ones departed half an hour earlier. Saitama reflects on missing the event and reaffirms that his own satisfaction is what matters.

Released on June 7, 2017, this seventy-sixth chapter is part of the Super Fight Arc and opens Volume 15. Its Japanese title, Itsumo Dori no Taikutsu, is rendered by Viz as Bored Like Usual. The chapter is adapted in Episode 21 of the anime, with Saitama, Genos, King, and Speed-o'-Sound Sonic on the cover. In the Tonari no Young Jump release, this chapter's title was swapped with that of Chapter 77, and the volume bonus page depicts Puri-Puri Prisoner's phone.
