Escalation

Bang batters Garou in a rapid succession of strikes, and though the Hero Hunter tries to turn the tide against his old teacher, his depleted state and the vast gulf between their command of the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist leave his attempts useless. The pounding continues without relief. Accepting that victory is beyond him, Garou moves to escape and snatches up Death Gatling's unconscious form to shield his retreat.

Bomb cuts him off, driving a kick into his face that flings him toward the leftover cluster of monsters, who are promptly torn apart by Bomb's cutting Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. With that, Bomb and Bang stand together and turn their combined martial skill loose on Garou.

Bang overwhelms Garou, whose exhaustion and inferior mastery of the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist leave him unable to fight back. Garou tries to flee using Death Gatling's body as a shield, but Bomb intercepts and kicks him into the remaining monsters, who are shredded by his Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. The two brothers then combine their martial arts against Garou.

This Monster Association Arc chapter was collected in Volume 16 and adapts webcomic Chapter 54, matching anime Episode 24. Its cover features Garou, Bang, and Bomb. To help sales of the newly released Volume 15, the installment was promoted online as running over 100 pages. In the volume release it was divided in two, with one part in Volume 16 and the other, titled "Power," placed in Volume 17.
