Still laid up in a hospital bed, Fubuki looks for a way to be useful and settles on patching up the coat Genos wrecked. Working from a beginner's guide to needlework, she has no real skill for the task but throws herself into it anyway. As she works, the scar left across her palm becomes visible, a mark she earned cooling down Genos' overheating core. The sight unsettles Lily, though Fubuki waves off the concern and assures everyone that she is perfectly fine.

Genos is genuinely touched by the gesture and heads back out to his duties. The moment turns comedic when he discovers Fubuki dabbed cologne on the mended garment to cover the smell of machine oil, prompting an amusing back-and-forth between them.

Fubuki mends Genos' damaged jacket while recovering in the hospital. Her palm scar, a result of cooling his core, draws worry from Lily before she reassures them. Genos returns to work grateful for the repair, then reacts with surprise to the cologne she added to mask the oily scent.
