Toshiyuki Morikawa

In One Punch Man, Morikawa voices Boros, the powerful alien warlord who leads an army called the Dark Matter Thieves to Earth. His resume elsewhere includes major franchise roles like Sephiroth across the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts games and Dante from the Devil May Cry games.

Beyond One Punch Man, Morikawa is well known for voicing Minato Namikaze in Naruto Shippuden and Yoshikage Kira in the Diamond Is Unbreakable arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. He has also voiced a run of One Piece characters, including Eneru and Hatchan.

Boros's invasion sets up the climactic battle of One Punch Man's first season, a drawn-out fight against Saitama that pushes the hero further than almost anyone else in the series. Boros ultimately loses and dies complimenting Saitama as a worthy opponent.

Morikawa has voiced anime and games since the late 1980s and founded his own talent agency, Axlone, in 2011. That combination of a long performing career and running his own agency makes him one of the more established figures in Japanese voice acting.

Morikawa's deep, commanding voice has made him a go-to Japanese dub artist for Hollywood stars including Keanu Reeves, Tom Cruise, and Mark Wahlberg. This dubbing work runs alongside his extensive anime and game career.
