Anri Teieri

Anri is a poised young woman with fine, delicate features. Her pinkish-orange hair falls to about neck length, gathered into two small braids at either side of the back, with squared-off bangs sweeping over the left of her face. Her eyes are a warm brown. Day to day she favors a tidy, secretary-style outfit that suits her role, while cover art and color spreads often present her in bolder, more formal looks that reveal another side of her wardrobe.

Composed yet fiercely resolute, Anri carries one overriding dream: to watch Japan crowned World Cup champions. Her passion for the game runs deep, and even after much of the Japan Football Association brushed her aside as a woman chasing an oversized fantasy, she held firm to her vision. Polite and professional by default, she still speaks her mind, particularly about that dream, and refuses to bend to the association's cautious, business-first thinking.

Following Japan's loss at the 2018 World Cup, Anri, newly hired by the Japan Football Union, brings the federation's executives a plan to finally push the country toward global glory. That pitch, delivered in Chapter 1, sets the Blue Lock program in motion. She goes on to run the facility as its manager and later serves as an assistant coach for the Blue Lock Eleven while staying attached to the Japan U-20 setup. She placed eighth in the series' first popularity poll.
