Overview

The Blue Lock Eleven stands as the official first-team lineup drawn from the Blue Lock facility, unveiled for the fixture against Japan's Under-20 national squad. Its entire reason for being is one goal: beat that youth side so the wider training program survives, then absorb the senior national team once the win is secured. The unit represents Japan and runs on a two-tone identity of pale and deep blue.

Jinpachi Ego serves as head coach with Anri Teieri assisting him, while Rin Itoshi wears the captain's armband. After the squad fulfilled its purpose it was broken apart, leaving it recorded as disbanded. The lineup first surfaces in the manga's 108th chapter and reaches the anime during its 29th episode.

Role

Ego assembled the group following the Third Selection, folding in five of the six top-ranked forwards alongside another six players whose skills either round out or overtake that elite bracket. He centered the whole design on Rin Itoshi and demanded relentless aggression, which left several more gifted candidates out purely over fit and usefulness; Ego himself branded the assembly brutally hard to pull off. Since every member is a striker, the roster is a pack of goal-starved competitors pressing without pause on both attack and defense.

In attack, Seishiro Nagi, Kenyu Yukimiya, Eita Otoya, and Rin Itoshi shoulder the finishing while Yoichi Isagi pulls the strings, baiting defenders as a decoy and widening everyone's chances, his own included. Tabito Karasu anchors the middle in a dual attacking and defending role, reading the flow to marshal the back line and pry open enemy structures. Meguru Bachira and Hyoma Chigiri serve as counter weapons, surging upfield in possession and, on defense, splitting duties so Chigiri drops back into a blistering stopper. Ikki Niko and Jyubei Aryu screen the box ahead of keeper Gin Gagamaru, with Niko severing passes and shots while Aryu shadows Gagamaru as a second wall.

Facing Japan U-20, the eleven pulled ahead across the opening period and finished the half in front, with Harutaro Natsuki rating the two teams level while Sae Itoshi manned the opposition. Momentum turned once Ryusei Shidou came on and stressed the Blue Lock defense, yet the squad still claimed the tie by a 4 to 3 margin. The goals fell to Nagi, Baro, Isagi, and Rin, with Rin and Isagi each adding an assist.

Notable Members

The bench carries specialists for reshaping the side mid-match. Yo Hiori steps in when a regular drops out, flexing between an attacking wing that ignites plays and a defensive fullback that frees the forwards to charge, his adaptability letting the formation shift. Reo Mikage covers defensive gaps, studying the whole pitch from the stands before deploying his mimicry to copy both opponents and teammates. Shoei Baro enters to overhaul the attack, his selfish, unpredictable movement scrambling defenses much like Ryusei Shidou while he snatches passes and goals for himself.

Beyond the featured names, the fuller roster includes reserves such as Aoshi Tokimitsu, Jingo Raichi, Jin Kiyora, Nijiro Nanase, Ranze Kurona, Gurimu Igarashi, Zantetsu Tsurugi, Yukio Ishikari, and Reiji Hiiragi.
