Heita Toujoin

Heita wears a habitually serious expression beneath heavy eyebrows, and his hair juts out in sharp points along its edges.

Soccer-mad and rather superficial like his friends, Heita regards Karin as the sharpest and toughest of the bunch and defers to her lead. He spooks easily and ducks behind her whenever trouble shows up. For all his grand-sounding name, his circumstances are humble, as he comes from a poor family.

During Bleach's first arc, a wayward kick from Karin catches Heita in the face, and he watches her storm off. When the group debates chasing after her, he argues she will only get smug about it, but Kei resolves to go and the rest follow. They stumble into the clash pitting the Hollow Bulbous G against Yasutora Sado, who is shielding Karin. Because they cannot perceive the Hollow at all, the boys take the scene for a brawl between those two. Heita protests that they were only worried about her, right before Karin shoves them clear of danger.

In the Arrancar arc the group finds older boys hogging their reserved field and ends up agreeing to a match to settle things. Doubtful of their chances, they reluctantly commit, and Karin brings Tōshirō Hitsugaya onto their side. On game day, down and demoralized with Karin hurt, their fortunes turn when Tōshirō joins the match and carries them to victory. Their celebration scatters when a Hollow appears, but Tōshirō cuts it down before anyone is harmed.
