Sideswipe is an Autobot who crosses into the Evangelion universe in the collaboration manga Transformers Mode "EVA". Arriving at Tokyo-3 with Optimus Prime's team, he watches his leader scan Unit-01 and takes part in the effort against the possessed Angel form of Starscream.
A Cybertronian warrior millions of years old, Sideswipe keeps his familiar robot form throughout the crossover. The manga's artwork places him at Optimus Prime's side while the Autobot leader scans Evangelion Unit-01. Japanese materials list him under his local name Lambor (ランボル).
Sideswipe frets openly about his leader. When Optimus Prime balloons in size after copying Unit-01, he anxiously asks whether Prime is feeling all right. He is also a willing worker, pitching in with NERV personnel on construction duty once the fighting ends.
Sideswipe rides to Earth aboard Sky Lynx with the rest of the Autobot team, reaching Tokyo-3 as an Angel bears down on the city. He is present when Starscream's ghost seizes an Angel's body, and he looks on as Optimus Prime scans Unit-01 and grows to match the enemy's scale. After Starscream falls, Sideswipe helps NERV staff convert Prime's trailer into a rolling command base.
