Like the rest of his crew, Baron has no qualms about turning to brute force when money is involved, which is exactly what he does when he sets upon the Straw Hats. His composure cracks only when Sanji manages to wreck his weapons, leaving him stunned.
History
At some earlier point the Long Long Pirates traveled to Gran Tesoro hoping to strike it rich and instead gambled away everything. When the Straw Hats later arrived at the same resort, the crew pounced to seize their cash, and Baron singled out Sanji. The cook, however, slipped past every blow while balancing a full tray of food and drink, never spilling a drop. Sanji then met one of Baron's swings with a kick that shattered his spiked brass knuckles, before sending him soaring upward with a rising strike to the chest. Despite his bulk, Baron's attacks amounted to wild, easily dodged swings, and his weapons proved fragile enough to break under a single kick.
