Dark Water

Berthier, one of the four Spectre Sisters loyal to the Black Moon Clan, commands this water-driven technique. It turns up in the animated series and in supporting games, and fans regard it as the dark counterpart to Shine Aqua Illusion, the signature move of Sailor Mercury. A heightened form of the technique also exists under the name Dark Water Full Power.

Within the animated series, the move manifests as a surge of dark water launched at a target. The game Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Another Story reworks how it behaves, presenting it instead as a run of watery slashes that simply wound foes rather than trapping them in ice.

Berthier is the primary wielder in every appearance. She first turns it on Sailor Mercury during the clash between the Spectre Sisters and the guardians, then later uses it to flood the Chess Tower, one of the Crystal Points, with dark power in hopes of keeping it from helping form Crystal Tokyo. Inside Another Story, a figure named Nabu gains access to the same attack alongside her.
