Silence Wall

Silence Wall, also written as Silent Wall, is a barrier technique that Super Sailor Saturn produces with her Silence Glaive. It functions as an exceptionally sturdy energy shield, guarding her and her companions against hostile force. The name carries a literal weight in the manga, where its kanji translate to the ideas of immobility and walls.

Saturn calls up the shield by driving the long end of the glaive's shaft toward whatever is bearing down on her, and a wall-shaped barrier snaps into place at once, one the story never shows breached. The blade of the weapon can hold it steady, and Saturn is able to let the energy sustaining the wall pour smoothly into its offensive twin, Silence Glaive Surprise. In the anime the barrier can also take the form of a large protective dome rather than a flat wall.

Super Sailor Saturn is the only wielder. Her single manga use, in Act 45, guards her and Chibi Moon from the Amazoness Quartet, and in Cosmos she shelters herself and Sailor Pluto from Galaxia at Charon Castle. The anime deploys it more often: she domes herself and Chibi Moon to block Queen Nehellenia's dark energy, shields Eternal Sailor Moon and the Super Sailor Guardians from Galaxia's bursts in one late episode, and saves Uranus and Neptune from Galaxia in the next. Across the musicals she even pairs it with Sailor Pluto's Dark Dome Close to protect Queen Beryl.
