Silver Moon Crystal Power, Make Up

This call lets Usagi tap the Silver Crystal held within her Eternal Moon Article and rise into her final guardian shape, Eternal Sailor Moon. It belongs to the print story and to the Crystal adaptation, and its exact wording has shifted between manga editions over the years.

Usagi debuts the phrase in the Stars-era side story The Secret Hammer Price Hall, changing at the same moment as Chibiusa, who answers with Pink Moon Crystal Power, Make Up, as the pair try to shield Hotaru from Otakura only to be upstaged by Ruruna Kobe and Naruru Osaka. Within the main Stars arc she transforms across acts 50, 51, and 54, though the printed wording is not consistent. From the 2nd Edition onward, and in the later 3rd and 4th releases, she says Moon Eternal, Make Up in act 50 and this Silver Moon phrase in acts 51 and 54. The 1st edition uses the Silver Moon line in all three spots, while the original Nakayoshi run opens with Moon Eternal Power, Make Up and switches to Moon Eternal, Make Up afterward. When she changes in act 50 she summons the Holy Moon Chalice, and in act 51 it materializes mid-transformation, a beat that recalls how the Holy Grail once powered her Super form during the Infinity arc. By the point of act 54 and the Hammer Price story she no longer relies on her friends and shifts straight from her everyday self into the Eternal form.

Eternal Sailor Moon is the sole user of the command. Sailor Moon Cosmos gives the phrase several distinct sequences, one of which starts with the Eternal Moon Article opening as Usagi waves her hand before it, focusing on her glowing crescent mark while feathers, gloves, wings, boots, and her fuku form around her before the final pose. That opening deliberately mirrors the Moon Eternal, Make Up sequence from the 1990s anime, and Naoko Takeuchi also worked the words Silver Moon Crystal Power into the lyrics she penned for Ai wo Shinjiteru.
