Appearance

The anime records little of her physical look, presenting her instead through two contrasting public faces. To the entertainment world she is a poised, celebrated director, while on the grounds of the girls' academy she is recognized in a nun's habit as the teacher Sister Angela.

Personality

Fiercely protective of her privacy, Akane keeps her personal affairs out of view and insists that whatever she wishes to express already lives inside the productions she stages. That conviction makes her a demanding perfectionist. She pushes Seiya far harder than the rest of the cast, certain he holds more talent than he shows, and grows frustrated that he pours less of his heart into the musical than into his concert performances.

History

By day she directs a new stage production starring the Three Lights, drilling Seiya relentlessly in pursuit of his best work. Rei, meeting her, realizes the director is the same woman who teaches at T·A Academy for Girls under the name Sister Angela. One evening, while Seiya lingers to rehearse, Akane steps out for coffee and runs into Chuuko Nezu, who requests an interview. Akane turns her down, unwilling to appear on television and content to let her directed works speak for her. The rebuff irritates Nezu, who reveals her true self as Sailor Iron Mouse and tears out Akane's Star Seed, warping her into the Phage known as Sailor Director. After clashing with Sailor Star Fighter, she is set right again by Eternal Sailor Moon.
