Appearance
He appears as an upright cat monster clad in rippling turquoise fur, with a lengthy, bushy purple tail swinging behind him. Wild violet hair forms a mane around a snarling, sharp-toothed face. Talons cap each finger and toe, ready to rip through flesh or illusion alike, and gold trinkets deck him out, from a spiked collar to bracelets and anklets. The standout touch is a matched pair of golden knee guards, each fitted with a lone red gem.
Personality
What marks Bakene out is that he declines to fight at all. His love for Luna outweighs any hostile urge, so even after his transformation he keeps his claws to himself. Having started life as a house cat, speech is beyond him; he can only groan and force out a strained 'Meow-fresh' where words would normally go.
History
Sealed away in the violet crystal, Bakene returns to life housed within a cat, Rhett Butler. Zoisite draws the crystal out of the animal and reshapes it into the Youma, yet the creature's devotion to Luna leaves him unwilling to raise a paw. In the end, Sailor Moon heals him back to his ordinary form using Moon Healing Escalation.
